Andhra Lake Phase – I Wind Project is one of longstanding wind project in CLP India’s renewable portfolio and delivering prominent sustainable benefits to local as well global environment.
The project has installed 70 number of Enercon make E-53 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) to generate electrical power to export to the distribution licensee. Total capacity of the project activity is 56 MW. The project is designed to generate 89 million units every year, which is equivalent to powering more than 17,500 Indian households. The project activity has designed to avoid more than 84,000 tones CO2e per year and saves more than 311 million liters of water per year compared to a typical coal power plant, which is currently dominating Indian electricity sector.
In addition to that CLP Wind Farms has undertaken numerous community development programmes focused on improving health and education, and creating sustainable community around the project.
